Here is today's LIVE show on THE CAROL BUTLER SHOW page. Incredible information shared by Leah Clewley! Surprising, fascinating facts about honeybees and our connection to them!
Leah was a trooper because it was VERY hot sitting under a picnic table today.
Invaluable information you wouldn't be able to get in such a concentrated and entertaining venue!
Check out her website at: www.carolinabeehaven.net
Thursday at 2 p.m. LIVE on THE CAROL BUTLER SHOW on Facebook, Leah Clewley, journeyman beekeeper is my guest.
Learn why honeybees are declining, how many bees are in a typical hive, why they are important to the human race and what you can do in your own backyard to support bees (even if you're allergic to them like I am).
Learn how long a bee lives and what is involved in beekeeping. Learn what plants are best in your yard to help the honeybee population and what pesticides you might consider not using.
There are county 4H Bee Camps held each year (varies which county). You can contact the Clemson Extension and they will advise you when they are held and who is doing them. Also Clemson Extension is a wonderful resource to learn about honeybees and their contribution to our planet.
We will be LIVE broadcasting from The Bagel Boat in Lake Wylie, SC at 2 p.m. Hope you'll join the conversation on Facebook on THE CAROL BUTLER SHOW page!
You can go to Leah Clewley's website at: www.carolinabeehaven.net.

Found this article on Quora and loved it. I've read about the parts and pieces of this over the years but this guy does a great job summing it up.
One of the best websites for analog photographers (because it features photos and articles that are easy to read and fascinating) is Anatomy Films.
Federico Mastrianni is the website publisher and his latest issue featured Katherine Gillis, her story, her professional expertise, her course offer and her on-going national and global relationship with analog photographers who know about her.

You'll see some before and after retouches and her new (huge) 50' x 50" rebuilt table to handle the larger photos she's retouching. Here's one photo:

I have had at least 4 attempts at background set ups for meetings and for THE CAROL BUTLER SHOW and most have not worked as described.
My first attempt was to get muslim chroma green from a material shop in Gastonia. It might have ultimately worked had it not been too short for the area my HD camera covered. The strung "rope" to hold it and the fancy grommets made to allow me to string it (and oh yeah wash it occasionally) sagged in the middle.
Next large plastic "fence type" hollow tubes were used as the "screen/curtain" rod and this time I got more green material from Walmart (a close match). I punched holes in the extra cloth rather than using grommets. The plastic pole was screwed together. By gosh I thought I had it made. Then, it STILL sagged in the middle over the span it had to hang.
Finally ordered the special green screen that could be strung across the professional pole and got the umbrella lights. Great, except in the A-frame shape of my area upstairs where my office and Internet is, it appears the screen is too far back and only one of the umbrellas can fit in the space. By tonight and before my show, I will have either my desk moved forward toward the screen and/or my HD c920 put on a tripod to allow for a different angle.
The things we do to do it right. The mistakes we make not so much cutting corners but being assured it would work just as well. The answer is not so much.
See you Thursday at 7 p.m. I hope to show you some interesting apps for your iPhones and comments on selling (person to person) not via technology. I am working on my course "Selling Without Shaking" and I'd love your input. I will make it easy to give me input after the show when I put up a fun way to respond to me!
